1. The text you enter

The text you type or paste is processed entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. It is never transmitted to our servers, never stored in a database, never used to train anything and never shared with third parties. Because there is no upload, we cannot read, recover or delete your text — it only exists on your device until you clear it or close the page.

2. Local storage

We store two small preference values in your browser’s localStorage: your chosen colour theme (light or dark) and whether you have answered the cookie banner. These values never leave your device and are removed when you clear your browser data for this site.

3. Advertising and AdSense cookies

This site is supported by advertising. When ads are enabled we use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookie use at aboutads.info.

Advertisements on this site are always labelled “Advertisement”, are visually separated from the editor, and never appear inside the writing area or between the tool’s buttons.

4. Consent

Where required by law (for example in the EEA or the UK), non-essential cookies are set only after you give consent through the cookie banner or an approved consent management platform. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the counter page.

5. Analytics

If we add analytics, we will use it only to measure aggregate page views and performance. We will never send the contents of the text area to an analytics service.

6. Children’s privacy

This tool is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your rights and changes

Because we do not collect personal data from the tool itself, rights of access, correction and erasure generally do not apply to text you enter — it never leaves your device. We may update this policy occasionally; the effective date above will change when we do.
